60 Women
60 Years

60 women. 60 stories. 60 years of independence.

Thank you for agreeing to share your story as part of 60 Women 60 Years, a commemorative project celebrating Guyana’s 60th anniversary of independence through the stories of Guyanese women and women of Guyanese heritage around the world.

This is your opportunity to tell your story in your own words.

There are no right or wrong answers. You do not need to write a polished biography — we want to hear your voice, your experiences and the things that matter to you.

Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your story and for becoming part of 60 Women 60 Years.

Sixty women cannot tell every Guyanese woman’s story. But together, these voices can capture something of our heritage, our journeys, our achievements, our wisdom and the many different ways that Guyana lives within us.

And we hope that the impact will extend beyond the stories themselves.

Through the book, our wider digital community and the charitable activities supported by the project, we want to celebrate the women who helped shape Guyana while contributing to opportunities and positive social impact for women and girls in Guyana today and in the future.

60 women. 60 stories. 60 years of independence.

A celebration of where we have come from — and a legacy for the generations still to come.
